Jinbei Sanke, also known as Jinbei Sanshoku, is a distinguished variety of Nishikigoi. This variety is a variation of the traditional Sanke (Taisho Sanshoku), characterized by its unique pattern and scale texture. Jinbei Sanke have a white base color with red (Hi) and black (Sumi) patterns. The distinct feature of Jinbei Sanke is their scale texture, which resembles that of a shark’s skin (Jinbei in Japanese). This texture gives them a unique, rough appearance compared to the typical smooth scales of other koi varieties.
